Wallums Wall Decals

What are Wallums Wall Decals?
Wallums are giant vinyl wall decals that adhere to your wall. They are removable, so if you want to change the design or need to remove it, all you have to do is peel it off. Wallums are inexpensive ways to transform the look and appeal of any room or office.

How do I know which size to order?
Most of our decals are available in multiple sizes. We recommend you measure the area where you will be applying your decal. Take into consideration how much of that area you want the decal to fill up and order the appropriate size. If you need a custom size, we can accomodate you. Just send us a note or live chat us.

Do you offer a printed Catalog?
No, we do not offer a printed catalog. We add new decals to our site weekly, so a printed catalog would get outdated fairly quickly.

Do Wallums have a gloss or matte finish?
We utilize the industry standard Oracal 631 Vinyl which only comes in a Matte finish.

Are the colors in your color chart or decal previewer accurate?
There may be differences in colors depending on your monitor settings. If you are looking to get the exact color, please order some free color samples.

Does the example picture show the actual size of the decal?
No, not usually. We offer many different sizes of each design, but we usually only provide an image of one size. We recommend that you measure the area where you are going to be installing the decal in order to determine the right size for you.

How easy is the installation of Wallums?
All of our Wallums come with steb-by-step instructions that are easy to follow and a free test. Some of the larger Wall'ums decals may come in sections that will seamlessly overlap to make it look like one large decal. For larger decal installations, we recommend the help of another person to make installation easier.

Will Wallums stick to any wall?
Wallums will stick to most walls. Smooth surfaces are ideal, but the decals can be installed on most textured walls with some patience. We have noticed that some walls painted with VOC FREE paints are not compatible with the vinyl regardless of the wall texture. We recommend ordering a free color sample pack. There is a free test decal in the color sample pack that will allow you to test the vinyl to make sure it will adhere to your wall.

I just painted my wall, is it ok to apply Wallums?
No. We recommend waiting at least 2 weeks until installation. If the paint is not completly dry, you risk damaging your walls and peeling off the paint.

How are Wallums made?
Wallums are custom made to order using premium vinyl. All of our designs are manufactured in house in Sebastopol, California. We have a 48" vinyl cutter and a 24" vinyl cutter that we use to cut out your decals.

How easy is it to remove Wallums wall decals?
Very easy. All you have to do is start at one corner and gently peel off the wall. Depending on the age/condition of the walls, some paint touchups may be required, but not usually.

Can I re-use Wallums Wall Decals if I take them off the wall?
Unless it is stated in the product description, you cannot move and re-use the decals. The decals will still retain their stickiness, but when you remove the decal it will not retain its shape and detail. The exception to this is our re-positionable printed wallums that use a special fabric vinyl with a re-positionable adhesive and our Wallums Removable Wallpaper..

Will Wallums damage my walls?
As long as the walls were properly prepped and painted, Wallums should not damage your paint. If you are painting your walls, we do suggest that you prime your walls before you paint them. If in doubt, please try one of our sample kits in an inconspicuous spot to test your paint.

Where can I put my Wallums Wall Decals?
Just about any hard surface. Glass, mirrors, metal, wood, plastic and many more. However, Wallums will not stick to skin. The vinyl we use it rated for 3+ years outdoors.

Do you ship International?
We do ship international to most countries. We only ship via USPS Priority mail for international shipments. International shipping starts at $30.

What filetype do you require for custom artwork?
If you are providing artwork for a custom design, we need a vector format. An adobe illustrator or eps file is ideal. Photoshop files will not work, nor will exporting a file from Photoshop as it creates a raster/bitmap image instead of a vector based file.

Wallums Removable Wallpaper

What is Wallums Wallpaper?
Wallums Removable Wallpaper are pre-sized wallpaper pieces that have a printed design. The material has a slight texture and contains a special low tak adhesive that allows you to reposition the panel. There is no mess or need for any additional glue or paste. Perfect for the novice or expert.

Are Wallums wallpaper removable?
It sure is. You can easily remove by lifting a corner on the top edge with your fingertips and peeling the panel in a downward motion. You will want to peel slowly.

Can I reuse Wallums wallpaper once it is removed?
Not only can you reuse it, if you save the backing paper the panel initial came on, you can put the panel back on the paper and save it for future use. This is perfect if you have to move.

What surfaces can I apply Wallums wallpaper to?
The ideal surface is smooth that has been properly primed or painted. Wallums wallpaper can be applied to slightly textured walls, just be aware that you will be able to see the texture of the wall through the panel. You can also apply to just about any non pourouse surface including - furniture, metal, doors, mirrors, glass, plastic and even around poles. Make sure the surface is clean prior to application. Surfaces we do not recommend include - stucco, brick, concrete or cloth.

Can I install Wallums wallpaper on dark paint or textured surfaces?
You can apply to dark paint, but because the material used is not 100% opaque, some of your wall color may show through the white/light parts of the design. This may cause a slight change to the color of your design. If you are appying over a dark wallpaper, you may be able to see the pattern of the wallpaper beneath slightly. Regarding textured surfaces, our wallpaper will adhere to slightly textured surfaces, but you will be able to see the texture of the wall slightly.

Can I install Wallums wallpaper immediately after painting my walls?
No. We recommend waiting at least 3 weeks to let the paint fully cure. If you apply Wallums wallpaper and the paint is not fully cured, adhesiong problems could occur or when you remove the wallpaper, you could experience paint flaking or peeling.

How long will Wallums wallpaper last on my walls?
Although Wallums wallpaper is meant as a temporary wall covering, it can and will last for years.

What are Wallums wallpaper panels made out of?
Wallums wallpaper is made out of a premium white polyester woven fabric material that is slightly textured. The material has the look and feel of high end wallpaper. The material comes with a low-tack repositionable adhesive and does not require the use of any glue or paste.

How do I clean Wallums wallpaper once installed?
Simply gently wipe with a dry cloth. DO NOT use any chemical cleaner or scrub the wallpaper harshly. Doing so will damage the printed surface.

How do i measure my walls for a proper fit?
It is extremley easy to determine how many panels you need. Simply measure the width of the wall you are planning to cover. Now take that measurement and divide it by 2. Round up the resulting number and you have your number of panels needed. For example, let's say our wall is 8' tall by 11' wide. We take the 11' width and divide it by 2. The resulting number is 5.5. We round this up to 6 and there you have it. You will need 6 panels to cover the entire wall. If you need us to assist you in calculating, please send us a note.

How do I install Wallums wallpaper?
It is as simple as peeling back 8"-12" of the backing paper from the top and sticking the top of the panel to your wall. Make sure you are lined up and then continue to smooth out the rest of the panel by removing 12" of the backing paper at a time. If at anytime you realize the panel is crooked or positioned incorrectly, simply remove the panel and start over. The adhesive is repositionable so there is no need to worry about getting it right the first time. Our panels come with a 1/2" overlap on the left and right sides. When you get to the second panel, you will notice that you do not simply butt the panels together. There will be a 1/2" overlap on each panel. After installation, you can choose to leave the seams or perform a double cut for a seamingly seamless pattern.

What if my wall height is a special height?
No worries, we gotcha covered. We can accomodate your custom height. Just send us a note and let us know your requirements.

Do you offer custom sizes and designs?
We sure do. We would love to see your project ideas. Simply send us a note with your project details.

How long will it take to produce my order?
All order are printed on demand, meaning we don't print your order until you place it. Our wallpaper takes some more time to produce than our standard wall decals, therefore the approximate production time is 3-5 business days not including shipping transit time. If you have an urgent deadline, please contact us prior to placing the order to see if we can rush the order.

What is your return policy on Wallums removable wallpaper products?
